1 will run most 1, 2, 3, and 4 person mixtures, may also run some 5 person mixtures.
2 will run most 1, 2, 3, and 4 person mixtures, and some 5 person mixtures.
3 will run most 1,2,3,4, and 5 person mixtures (including with replicates) and some 6 person mixtures.
4 due to parallelisation, best performance is achieved with high performance threads. For running the default 8 chains in STRmix™, each chain would ideally have a dedicated thread. Many CPUs are "hyper-threaded", providing two threads per core.
5 this is the space required for the application itself and does not include the space required for results of STRmix™ runs.
Software
Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 64-bit recommended.
STRmix™ is not supported by a MacOS environment.
